Re: Stop Calling The Fucking Cops…
Most people assume that since police carry guns they are trained to use them. But the sad truth is they receive very, very little training. This was a Negligent Discharge. The cop had his finger on the trigger and stress/adrenalin may have caused it to “twitch”. Bang…
We gun owners are taught to never point a gun at anything we’re not ready to shoot AND to not put our finger on the trigger until we’re ready to pull the trigger. Watch how the actors on NCIS handle their gats. They get it right most of the time…the trigger finger is pointed straight out until the need for pulling the trigger is warranted.
All that said…this officer needs to be fired. Even if his city won’t pay for the training if he was worth ANYTHING he would have trained himself before pointing a deadly weapon at another living being!!!
RE: Happy Birthday
As more police are attacked (and yes, I believe it will get much worse), good men will stop joining the forces, and idiots like this will become the norm. Uhhh…more of the norm…
“Shot the dog by mistake!” Uh, no. Wasn’t a mistake.
