Too bad I can’t eat too many without lowering blood pressure too much.
I’m very fond of short videos that put an unusual “spin” on a familiar subject; this week’s example was contributed by Tim Cushing. The links above it were provided by Radley Balko (“paradise”), Amy Alkon (“children”), Nun Ya (“laws”), and Popehat (“policies”).

Re: Life in the Workers’ Paradise: Further proof that A) Socialism can never work, and B) the illiberal left’s cognitive dissonance rivals that of the religious right. However, that won’t stop the unconvincing, brittle “not true socialism/communism” argument from being used.
There’s one born every minute:
This one is hilarious! People buying “food” that warns them right on the package that it causes cyanide poisoning. A new triumph of stupidity.
“… Residents demanded to meet the mayor, but when he did not come they sacked a Chinese bodega. Residents hacked open the door with pickaxes and pillaged the shop, venting their anger at a global power that has lent billions of dollars to prop up Venezuela in recent years. “The Chinese won’t sell to us,” said a taxi driver who watched the crowd haul away all that was inside. “So we burn their stores instead.””
Well now – *that* is interesting. Seems China is starting to play the empire game, and is getting exactly the same thanks from the locals that the British, French, and Americans got.
