LilyRose – Don’t know of any main characters, but David Eddings’ ‘Malloreon’ series makes passing mention of Bethra, a prostitute who turns out to have been a spy. (With regard to her more public profession, there’s a nice little scene in ‘Guardians of the West’ where a daughter of one of her clients refuses to believe that her father would ever do such a thing and Bethra strips her of a couple of illusions on the matter and makes it quite clear that she makes ‘no apologies for the fact’ of her profession.)

Has there ever been a character who’s “day” job (so to speak) was a hooker and who took select assignments on the side, a la “It Takes a Thief”? That could be interesting….

OK, now THAT would be an interesting movie! It’s too bad any female vampire hunter will inevitably be compared to Buffy, but still, it would be cool. Bella could be a stripper this month, a call girl the next, truck driver or a streetwalker or a drugged-out (he thinks!) raver next September.

Almost a _Charlie’s Angels_ vibe to that. The TV show, not the movies.
